The Connection was born out of a desire to reach more people with the love of God and the message of Jesus Christ.

Pastor Tish and Zion United Methodist Church of South County began making plans in 2007 for a new worship service in south St. Louis. The more we talked to people, the more support we gained, and we soon realized God was doing something more than just starting another worship service, God was building a whole new church!

After prayerful discussions with Mellow Memorial United Methodist Church, it became apparent that the best opportunity for success came with their sacrificial close and the grand opening of The Connection which meets in the beautiful 100-year-old Mellow building.

The Connection's opening worship was Easter Sunday, March 23, 2008. We have developed dynamic celebration services at 9am and 11am to reach a new generation with the good news of Jesus Christ.
