····· An important date is approaching. March 25, 2012 is when The Connection will officially charter as a church. The Bishop is slated to come to worship and receive Charter Members of The Connection. What is required to successfully charter? 75 Charter Members committed to live out their faith at The Connection (worship, serve, give, grow, & share) and a financially self-sufficient church.

···· From the start our goal was to be self-sufficient at three years and at five years old to be giving back to those who have given so generously to us by 1) financially supporting our District and Conference 2) starting the conversation about beginning another new church or congregation.····· The Sustainability Project is helping us obtain these goals.

      At just over three years old The Connection continues to grow and impact our community. In just the past few months we have expanded our children's classes, taken our Recovery Ministry off-site to Shalom House women's shelter, and welcomed over 600 people into our worship space through WITNESS and worship on Easter weekend.

      At the same time, the generous funding from our Missouri Conference is coming to an end. We have planned and prepared for this day in part by launching our Sustainability Project 2011. We are asking every one who calls The Connection their church home to participate by completing a Gift for Growth pledge card between now and July 24.
