The St. Louis Public School District has designated The Connection as the official church partner with Lyon@Blow, a K-8 school located one block from The Connection.

In the 2009-2010 school year, The Connection began a mentoring program with 6th grade students which will continue through their 8th grade year. Each mentor meets with a circle of three students every Monday during their half hour lunch time. It’s a time of showing interest, demonstrating care, and giving encouragement to the children. We also work to support the Lyon@Blow educator’s through Educator Appreciation Sundays, cards and prayers.

This fall, we are coordinating a second team of mentors with the new 6th grade class.
