Every ride given is someone’s opportunity to find God.

Since The Connection began in March 2008 there have been people wanting to attend worship services, small groups, and special events, but have no way to get here. Our first response was to create a Share-A-Ride Ministry where people who needed a ride were partnered with people who could give a ride. We presently have around 15 people coming to The Connection each week through this valuable ride sharing ministry.

Even with the Share-A-Ride Ministry in place, transportation requests continued to come in beyond our congregation’s ability to provide. So we set out to double our ride giving capacity by buying our first van in May of 2010. Through a generous Gateway District Board grant, The Connection now owns a 15 passenger van that is available for transportation to and from church events. We are especially excited at the opportunity the van provides us to service group homes and shelters in South City bringing residents to experience God’s presence through The Connection.
